MyPlate is a simple diagram for us to understand the proper proportions of each food group we need. However, it can be tricky when translating that perfect plate into real life. It’s not realistic to always create the perfect plate when you’ve got busy schedules with the combination of your own unique cultural recipes. Fortunately, you don’t have to sacrifice ethnic taste to create a well balanced meal. I stumbled upon the following video from a chef of the White House, Cris Comerford. Being of Pacific Islander decent, she takes us through recipes from her culture as she creates a well balanced meal. You may be surprised at how easy she makes it look!
