Easy After School Snacks

Kids love to snack, especially when they get home from school. Unfortunately a lot of the go-to snacks are chips, sodas, and sugary treats. Watch the video below to get some good ideas to serve your kids and have available when they get home from school. 



Additional Recommendations:
quesadillas (grab two whole wheat tortillas and fill them with black beans, avocados and veggies that your kids will eat with a little bit of low-fat cheese & salsa)

hummus with pita bread/cut-up veggies ( you can find different flavors of hummus in your local grocery store that may intrigue your kids)

nuts/trail mix

make your own popsicles in the freezer

fruit smoothies (frozen fruit, especially bananas give it a great consistency as well as yogurt and almond milk)
