Spring break is right around the corner.  That means traveling with the family!  Whether traveling by plane, train, or automobile…your little ones will get hungry.  Below are some healthy snack ideas for on the go.

Nuts- pistachios, walnuts, almonds, oh my! Nuts are a great protein packed snack to hold everyone over until the next meal.  Tip: keep portion size in check.  14 almonds or 20 pistachios equal 100 calories.

Veggies- prewashed/prepped celery and carrots travel wonderfully.  You can also pack an individual container of natural peanut butter. Tip: wrap celery in a damp paper towel and foil- it will stay crunchy longer!

Dried fruits- calling all sweet teeth…. dried apricots, cranberries, and raisins can satisfy that sugar craving.  Tip: keep portion size in check. One cup of fresh fruit equals half a cup of dried.
